First Class Football was established in September 2003 to provide young local people with fun, professional football coaching opportunities. Since then we have coached in over 75 schools across the South East as well as working with some of the largest youth football teams around.
As well as our educational work which consists of school clubs and curriculum sessions, we provide recreational opportunities such as holiday courses, evening and weekend sessions and birthday parties and also advanced opportunities such as team training and development centres which are now linked to Brighton & Hove Albion FC.
First Class Football is run by Andy McAllen BA and Ben Tadmor BA who are both UEFA qualified football coaches and Sports Management graduates. Andy and Ben have over 20 years of top quality coaching experience between them gained at some of the biggest clubs in England. Andy was coaching at Tottenham Hotspur and Ben at Charlton Athletic before the decision to establish First Class Football. Andy and Ben have also coached together at Reading FC (Premiership) and Wycombe Wanderers FC (Div 2) and in the USA with United Soccer Academy.
All the coaches at First Class Football are of the highest quality. Head Coaches Ben and Andy are FA level 3 trained and coaches that lead our sessions are all FA level 2 qualified. We also have coaches who assist in the delivery of sessions who have their FA level 1 certificate.
This means that all of our coaches follow the FA guidelines on Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities and Best Practice as well as all being trained in Child Protection and First Aid. We make sure that all our coaches have also been approved to work with children by completing CRB checks and all the coaching we do is fully insured. We strive to continually improve our coaches further with in-house training and development.
"A combination of preparation, enthusiasm and effective delivery will enable us to educate, inspire and develop all players we come into contact with."
